This is a great quality product. The base is pure quartz or something, it's like 20 lbs at least and comes with a felt bottom so it doesnt hurt your floor. Has a nice muted marble effect so not plain white. The brass portion is thick and well made. Came packaged with a light bulb which was great! The dome can swivel and point any direction, the on/off switch is a push button on the cord, the kind most people would probably use their foot to tap but I'm sure you could mount it on a wall if you wanted. But this lamp belongs in a VERY large room-it takes up a ton of space! It’s not meant for a small bedroom, which I bought it for. I sadly returned it. If it didn’t stick out so far into the room, I definitely would have kept it. Very classy and on trend right now. I love it!I bought 2 of these lamps when I redecorated my living room and I was pleasantly surprised with them. Based off of the images provided by the seller as well as some of the customer images I was expecting the head of the lamp to be about half the size it ended up being (it is about 31 inches around at the widest part of the shade - big enough that if I really wanted to I could fit my entire head inside of it, which I did test out specifically for this review). For me, this ended up being a positive, but I felt the need to note it in the event that someone else is looking for a smaller size. A lot of the other reviews mention the base being extremely heavy and they are not wrong. I did not weigh them but it does seem to be solid marble underneath the metal on the base and I could probably guesstimate it to be about 35-40 pounds. Heavy enough that it was difficult for me (a 22 yo female that does not frequent the weights section at the gym) to lift by myself, but not impossible. Overall the weight, to me, is a bonus because there's basically no chance of knocking the lamp over accidentally. I think these were the PERFECT addition to my living room and they provide a great amount of light. When I have people over and we're on my couch the ceiling fan lights are too bright to provide the "chill" atmosphere I was looking for and with them off the room is too dark. These lamps provide the perfect amount of light for clear visibility but also leaves the room with a cozy feel. Each lamp came with its own bulb and even after 5-6 hours of leaving them on they do not heat up at all, which is great considering they are right above the couch. I'm planning to buy a couple more for my bedroom to replace the lamps on my nightstands in the near future. I would absolutely recommend this product.Je suis ravie de mon expérience!
